Be a Pananaw Staff. The Education Workgroup of the National Youth Conference primarily chooses and recommends those persons who will compose the Editorial Board for the ensuing biennium. However, the National Education Department together with the Editorial Board is given the privilege to screen additional staff considering the following criteria:

  • a bona fide member of the UMYFP as defined in the Constitution;
  • willingness and commitment to be a member of the Editorial Board;
  • awareness to present and pressing issues of the UMYFP and UMC; and
  • knowledge in writing and/or layouting.

If you think you can be of support to Pananaw by being a staff, send your short bio and a sample of your work to Earlie Pasion, National Education Department Head at eilrae_umyf_kapananaw@yahoo.com. E-mail subject shall be: I want to be a kaPananaw.

What is the difference between a contributor and a staff?

Thank you for asking.

Being a staff means that you will be a regular writer or artist designated to special sections in the publication of your expertise. You will take article assignments from the editors; however, you are also given privilege to write your own articles aside from those assigned to you. Your name will also appear in the staff box regularly.

Being a contributor on the other hand, means that you are willing to support Pananaw through submitting supplementary articles or arts of your choice. Your name will appear on the staff box as per article or art published.

So what are you waiting for, be a ka-Pananaw today, share your visions and inspire other young people.
