Youngblood
Melvin S. Domingo

The new generation of leaders is now emerging
In entrancing the sturdy trail, we are determined
We can no longer wait for tomorrow
To be proficient co-builders of our society!

In spite of today’s trying times
We still hold on steadfastly to our ideals
We might be vulnerable but not incorruptible
Might be neophytes but we’re able to carry the light.

Youngblood… Youngblood are we!
We aim higher to attain the banner of victory
The torch of wisdom illumines our way
The cord of friendship strongholds our solidarity

Fellow youth-leaders go out of your edges
There’s a world waiting for your presence
Surmount your fears, fortify your competence
Altogether we will work and succeed with God’s help!

Yet
Salabat

Our mind thinks at a rate of 800 words …
Yet we fail to think better phrases more than alibis
We abuse the use of the terms I, me and mine
We lack words we need to say in prayers
We always neglect to bid “thank you” and say “sorry”

Human eyes have 100 million receptors…

Yet we fail to see life’s reality
We do not recognize that things happen according to His plan
Yet we can’t visualize how the world turns into sinfulness
We fail to identify the wicked from righteous

Human ears have 24,000 fibers…
Yet we fail to hear another’s agony
We are deaf to the cries for equality
We choose to be mute with differing principles
We fail to listen to the Greatest Story ever told
We turn the other way to what He expects us to

Human body has half a million touch receptors…
Yet we fail to feel mankind’s burden
We neglect to touch our loved ones showing how much we care
We miss to perceive the very essence of our existence
We forget to let ourselves feel His moving Spirit
We deny that He touches us in every phase of our lives.

These are life’s greatest deceits!

sabi nga sa Bibliya, “d truth will set us free”.
Sa pagbasa ko ng “yet” i was reminded sa tanong during my Quiet time; “What if Jesus were to ask u to leave the most important thing in your life today (family, money, hobby, habit, etc.) to follow Him? CAn you? will you? if anything is more important than JEsus, are u a Christian?

kailangan natin mag simulang kumilos kahit sa ating kabataan palang kasama ang ating Ama na siyang lumikha. Kahit ano pa man ang estado mo sa ibabaw ng mundong ito, kaya mong gawin ang hamon sa atin.
